Jordi Alba does not want to leave Barca. Although his participation in the team is decreasing (he only played 68 minutes in the last 6 games), the right-back remains determined to fully fulfill his contract.

The youth team player finds himself in a difficult sporting situation, but he doesn’t give up: he wants to show Xavi that he remains valid in the team. Alba assumes that Balde is in great shape but agrees to wait for his opportunity, working like never before in training and always willing to help when the coach deems it necessary.

Therefore, it rules out any departure from Barça next summer. He has not thought about looking for another team, although he knows that the Blaugrana club will put pressure on him in the coming months to accept a loan or transfer.

Barca’s objective is try to save the 38 million euros that he should raise next season (20 of which correspond to the delays agreed at the time with Bartomeu and Laporta, not counting the money that the footballer agreed to cut from his salary without any compensation).

The blaugrana management is even willing to pay him the salary difference between what he receives from his new team and what his current contract stipulates, which ends on June 30, 2024. Although, for now, the club has not contacted or with the footballer or his representative to initiate any type of negotiation.

Also, on a personal level, Jordi Alba wants to face next summer calmly, without paying attention to the transfer market, because his wife will give birth to their third child in the month of July. Alba and his partner’s intention is, of course, to focus on this happy event and not have to worry about the immediate sporting future.
