Andrea Ropero (39 years old) and Íñaki López (49 years old) already breathe a sigh of relief. There were “long days” of anguish due to the health scare they had with their son. The couple of presenters expands the family in a few months, but all the attention and energy are focused on waiting for the evolution of the little one who is looking forward to the arrival of his little brother. A health problem led him to have to be hospitalized and remain hospitalized until the medical team that treated him see that he was back to normal and there was no more danger. A situation that already seems like a bad memory and that occurred shortly after Cristina Pardo’s companion in LaSexta was forced to leave the sets for weeks due to a retinal detachment.
The son of Andrea Ropero and Iñaki López, admitted to the hospital
The youngest of the house lived a very bitter and complicated experience for his young age, and had to stay in hospital for several days in the Pediatrics area of the Jiménez Díaz Foundation, in Madrid. Without giving too many details, Andrea Ropero shared the image of the son’s little arm full of tracesand next to the photo, a message of thanks to those who ensured his well-being and whose work made him now home: “THANKS to all the emergency personnel and the pediatric ward of the Jiménez Díaz Foundation for the pampering, affection and care of those long days. Elena, Maite, Raquel, Montse, Magda… you are wonderful pediatricians and nurses. Endless thanks from Roke ❤️ @enfermeriafjd_uam.”
Andrea and Iñaki have not been separated from their son’s side during all this time. In the shared snapshot, the journalist gently caresses the little one’s fingers, relieving fear and discomfort. In February, it was the co-host of ‘Más Vale Tarde’ who became concerned about his unexpected health problems that kept him away from the sets.
Iñaki López, separated from TV for weeks due to a detached retina
After his mysterious “disappearance” for weeks, López finally got back to Cristina Pardo and told him about the health problem that kept him away all this time. “About a month ago I went to the hospital in La Paz due to ocular discomfort, where They located a retinal detachment, second to my credit”, he explained as the cameras stopped on his eye, still black from recent surgery, “I don’t like to leave things half done: I had a detachment of the eye, why not a second?” The presenter thanked the quick action of the doctors who treated him, “this is back in place and it seems that I will be able to see you again sooner or later, because for now, for me, you are just shadows and I recognize you and I locate by the sound of your voices,” he said without losing his good humour.
The couple of LaSexta hosts are expecting their second child together
Despite these health issues, the whole family, including their pet Malo, is in a cloud of happiness since, last Christmas, they announced in a very original way that the family is growing. Once again it was Andrea, very active on Instagram, who, with a fun drawing showing some booties with question marks, was the one who broke the good news that she was expecting her second child with Iñaki López. “A very special 2023 is coming to our house…”, she wrote in the publication. And, despite these last obstacles, it is still special because, above all, they are facing everything that is approaching more than ever.
